SLAWR / MSP LTER REU Applications Now Open
Sustainable Land and Water Resources Research Experience for Undergraduates (SLAWR REU) — which also recruits our MSP LTER summer REU students — is now accepting applications! A community-centered and Tribally focused summer research internship program, SLAWR REU explores the interactions between physical, natural, and social processes through the weaving of Indigenous knowledge with Western knowledge to advance scientific understanding and support tribal management decisions. We encourage applications from students of all genders who are Native American, Tribal college students, community college students, non-traditional students, veterans, students who have been historically under-represented in their discipline, and students who are first-generation college students.
Learn more about the program, see the 2024 research projects, and, if you’re interested in applying to the 2025 SLAWR REU internship, fill out the application form, which is open through March 30, 2025 though priority will be given to applications submitted by February 2, 2025. If you know someone who would be a good fit for the program, nominate them!
